Hello. I am a retired law enforcement officer with extensive law enforcement, security, and investigations experience within both the public and private sectors. After a rewarding and dynamic career of over 27 years in law enforcement, I have transitioned to the private sector as the managing member of Clydeside Consulting LLC.

During my law enforcement career, I worked as a deputy sheriff, police officer, police detective, and police sergeant. My areas of service included detention facilities, municipal law enforcement, educational law enforcement, investigations, and supervision. I also worked nine years as a police backgrounds investigator.

I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Advanced and Supervisory Certificates, a California Institute of Criminal Investigations (ICI) Master certification, and ICI certifications in financial crimes, computer crimes, burglary, crime scene investigations, and background investigations.

As a result of my commitment to my profession, I was heavily decorated throughout my career; having twice been my department’s Officer of the Year and received community awards for a kidnapping investigation, a child sexual assault investigation, and an international bomb threats investigation resulting in a conviction and prison sentence in a European nation. I also received numerous other formal and informal awards from the law enforcement agencies in which I worked for my handling of investigations and management of critical incidents as a police supervisor.  

In parallel to my law enforcement experience, I have extensive private sector expertise in risk/threat assessment, workplace security, retail and hotel security, amusement park security, surveillance and counter surveillance operations, executive protection work to include high profile clients who require the highest levels of confidentiality and personalized service, and as a contract background investigator.

In addition to my experience, I bring a personality that is not so common in the industry. I genuinely enjoy working with people from all aspects of life and bring a smile, compassion, and respect to every interaction. My diplomacy and ability to connect with people has brought me a lot of successes in the work I do.
